Antoinette Donato

Antoinette “Toni” Donato, 95 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Tuesday May 20, 2025. Toni was born on January 27, 1930 in New Brunswick to the late John and Ann (Gambino) Coglianese she lived and raised her family in Edison for over 40 years before moving to the Tuckerton/Little Egg Harbor area over 20 years ago She worked for Rutgers ROTC for over 20 years before retiring in the early 1980’s. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfredo (Fred) Donato.

“Toni” enjoyed music and friends and family and good Italian food and made every occasion festive. She always dressed beautifully and was known as “fashion lady” to her friends at The Terraces. In retirement she lived in Jupiter, Florida for several years before returning to New Jersey with her loving husband whom died in 2015. She will be most remembered for her love of family and friends, always sending cards for birthdays and milestones. She was overjoyed to be surrounded by loved ones at her 95th birthday celebration. She is predeceased by her brother Henry Coglianese and sister Mary Westburg. Surviving are her three children. Linda and Ned Kennedy of Boston, MA; Saverio and Ann Donato of Brick, NJ; Felicina Donato of Atlantic Highlands. Also surviving are her 5 beloved grandchildren AnnMarie Coen, Sue and Dan Vilardi, Saverio Donato, Jennifer and Mike Gorny and David and Becky Wittmer. Three great grandchildren Danny and Sonny Vilardi, Archie Coen and two step grandchildren, Mack and Sully Potskowski along with a family of nieces and nephews

Visitation will be held on Friday May 23rd, 2025 from 8:30-10:30am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11am at St. Theresa’s R.C. Church 450 Radio Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will be private for family only in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery.
