Antonio Zullo

To all that had the incredible honor of knowing him, Antonio “Tony” Zullo will be forever remembered as a humble, dedicated, and unwaveringly caring man. With his astonishing grace, the patience of a saint, and the humor only a dad could possess, he lived a full life surrounded by a large community of family and friends. There are no words to describe the caliber of man he was, but for those who knew him, they will never forget the goodness he embodied, his generosity, and the special way he could light up a room. To know him was to love him. He was taken from us far too soon on January 13th, 2022, at the age of 66. He died peacefully at home with his loving wife of 41 years by his side.

Tony was born in Apice, Italy, to Igino and Antonia Zullo. He moved to the United States as a child, and despite the hardships he faced adapting to life in a place so far from home, he built himself a life that anyone would be proud of. He worked officially as a mechanic until his retirement in 2020, but was affectionately known by all as “Mr. Fix-it” for his uncanny ability to get just about anything back into working order. If you had a problem, you knew you could count on him to help. Whether you had a lawnmower that needed to be tamed, or you just needed a friend to help you through, he was the man you could turn to, day or night.

While his affection for toys and tools were well-known, there was nothing more important to Tony than his family. The importance of family, love, and togetherness were instilled in him at a young age, and his proudest accomplishment in life was creating a close-knit, loving family of his own. He was a family man through and through. Every decision and every action reflected his strong values and the unconditional love he had for his girls. He was the irreplaceable foundation of a family that he loved, and that loved him, in a way that is beyond expression. There are some feelings for which there are no words.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Barbara, four daughters, Jennifer and fiancé Erik Hudson, Alison and husband Glenn Pajarito, ToniAnn and husband Ryan Rahall, and Christina Zullo, five grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Linus, Julian, and Silas, and four siblings, Carmine, Emilio, Angelo, and Marisa, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and countless other family and friends who have made his journey in this life both memorable and fulfilling.

He will be missed every second of every day.
