Barbara A. Dalton (VanFossen), 84 of West Creek, NJ passed away on October 11th, 2023. Barbara was born on July 19th, 1939 to Robert and Ethel VanFossen in Camden, NJ. Barbara retired from the Eagleswood Elementary School as a Library Assistant and was a life member of the Eagleswood Ladies Auxiliary, holding many offices over the years. She was the head of emergency management for Eagleswood Township for many years, served on the land use planning board and was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America. Barbara was also a member of the Manahawkin Baptist Church until 1998.  

Barbara was predeceased by her sister Alive VanFossen and her parents Robert and Ethel VanFossen.  

She is survived by her beloved husband John of 58 years, sons Paul J Dalton and wife Meg of West Creek, NJ, Robert E. Dalton and wife Tina of Kernersville, NC and Richard J. Dalton of Seattle, WA, sisters Ruiess VanFossen-Bravo and Ruth Roquitte and grandchildren Josh, Jonathan and Natalie. 

Visitation will be held on Monday October 16th, 2023 from 6-8pm and on Tuesday October 17th, 2023 from 9am until her Funeral Service at 10am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will follow in West Creek Cemetery at 11am.
