Barbara Flanagan

Barbara Gloria Flanagan, 60, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday November 20th, 2025. Barbara was born in Jersey City, NJ in 1965, the youngest child of Barbara (nee Savoia) and Salvatore Giacchi. She was happily married to Richard Flanagan and was blessed with three wonderful children: Lisa Marie, Mathew Vincent, and John Walker.

Barbara spent time living in Park Ridge, NJ and Monroe, NY before moving back to her childhood home in Hillsdale, NJ and eventually settled in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Barbara worked at Gardeners Flower Shop, then Jerry Lake Mailing Company out of high school. She then worked as a customer relations manager for Numerex before having her children. Once her kids were older, she helped provide for her family by doing real estate, and for the last 15 years, helped her husband run their business, H.E.L.P. LLC. She will always be remembered as a kind, funny, loving, beautiful person, and as a phenomenal wife, mother, and home-maker. Barbara was a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Church in Hillsdale, NJ, enjoyed life to the fullest, and loved spending time with her family and friends. Barbara touched many lives along the way and all will say they are happy to have met her.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Richard, her daughter Lisa Marie and son-in-law Matt Goode, and her two sons Matthew Vincent, and John Walker. Her wonderful brother, John Giacchi, and wife Ping, and John’s two sons James, and Kenneth. She had recently lost her sister and best friend, Lisa Cowling. Lisa Cowling is survived by her husband Richard Cowling and sons Richie, and Michael and his fiancee Shannon, and their beautiful baby son Ryan Lee, who Barbara absolutely adored.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church 69 Valley St. Hillsdale, NJ, followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon. Please check back for details.
