Connie R Gargone

Connie Rita Gargone, 95, of Little Egg Harbor, passed away on April 29, 2025. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ Connie spent a large portion of her life in Wayne, NJ, moving to Vernon Valley in 1994 and settling in Little Egg Harbor in 2001.

In her teenage years Connie attended Dickinson High School where she was a cheerleader, basketball player and active in High School clubs. She was a member of Our Lady of The Valley Church and in the OLV Women’s Auxiliary where she did fundraising, CYO, Bingo and Alter Society. Connie was also a parishioner of St. Theresa's Church here in Little Egg Harbor. Connie spent many years attending Southern Ocean County Senior Service Center, "meals on wheels," which she enjoyed tremendously. She was an avid golfer with her husband Salvatore at the North Jersey Country Club in Wayne.

Connie was pre-deceased by her loving husband Salvatore in 2007, she is survived by her beloved children, daughter Linda Cicco (Peter), sons, Salvatore Jr. (Carol), Anthony (Dolly) and youngest son Perry. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and dear friends including her dearest friend Louise Dino.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 10am-12pm with a service at 12pm at Maxwell Funeral Home, 160 Mathistown Road, Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will follow at 1pm in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beachview Avenue, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
