Edith M Solomon

Edith M. Solomon, 78 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, July 8th, 2026. Edie was born in Elizabeth, NJ, raised in Fanwood, NJ and spent time living in Hillsborough, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor 23 years ago. Edie graduated from Montclair State College and worked as a High School Math Teacher for Piscataway High School. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, travelling, and going to Atlantic City.

Edie was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Edith McErlean and her husband Robert Solomon.

She is survived by her loving daughter Heather Hess and husband Brad of Leesburg, VA, sister Rosemary Scroggins and husband Roger of Fairfield Township, OH, brother Raymond McErlean III and spouse Chris Colahan of Voorhees Township, NJ, grandchildren Sidney and Ryan Hess, 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

Burial will be held on Thursday July 30 , 2026 at 11:30am in Ocean County Memorial Park Waretown 280 Wells Mills Rd. Waretown, NJ.
