Emil Edward Hrycenko

Emil Edward Hrycenko, 72, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Born in Elizabeth, Emil spent most of his life in Roselle Park, where he and his wife raised their family, before settling in Little Egg Harbor in 2021. He was a proud and dedicated electrician with IBEW Local 102.

Emil was predeceased by his parents Emil and Mary Hrycenko.

Emil is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kathleen Hrycenko; his daughters, Kelly Hrycenko and her partner Tony Pirozzi, and Christine Clarkson and her husband William; and his beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Ainsley, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his brother, George Hrycenko.

A true hands-on craftsman, Emil built a vacation home for his family in Osborn Island and always had a project under way. He loved gardening, painting, boating and sunset rides on his motorcycle. He will be remembered for his determination, his creativity, and the quiet pride he took in providing for and supporting his family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday December 4, 2025 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Maxwell Funeral Home, 160 Mathistown Rd, Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Visitation will continue Friday December 5, 2025 from 9-10am, with a Funeral Service beginning at 10am at the funeral home. Entombment to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Waretown, NJ.

Emil will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
