Ernest R Wells

Ernest R. Wells, 86 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday November 26th, 2021. Ernest was born in Brooklyn, NY and spent time living in Florida and Brooklyn before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2001. Ernest served our nation in the United States Army and worked as a carpenter. He was a member of the American Legion Post 493, The Moose Ledge in Florida and the Yorktowne Social Club in Manalapan, NJ. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards and basketball.
Ernest was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Olive Wells, daughters Susan Penney Wells and Joanne Carol Wells, siblings Fred Wells, Bob Wells, Donald Wells, Hubert Wells, Grace Bundock and Joyce Rynander and the mother of his children Joanne Wells.
He is survived by his loving wife Lorraine of 31 years, daughters Vickie Paver and husband William of Manchester, NJ, Christine Wells and fiancé Michael Flannery of Brick, NJ and Debbie Natiello and significant other Herk Jobes of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, brother Roy Wells, sisters Linda Greco and Norma Mackie, grandchildren Michael and wife Michele, Steven and wife Lisa, Billy Ern and wife Rachel, Johnny and Casey, great-grandchildren Alyssa, Ryan, Tianna, Peyton and violet, brother-in-law Herbert Marcellino and wife Joan and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday December 4th, 2021 from 2pm until his Funeral Service at 5:30pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. An interment will be held on Thursday December 9th, 2021 at 1pm at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
