Frances J Vella

Frances J. Vella, 85 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Tuesday September 2nd, 2025. Frances was born in New York City, NY and spent time living in Whitestone, NY before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 1997. Frances worked as a CNA for Seacrest Nursing Home in Little Egg Harbor and was also a wonderful home maker and caretaker of her husband and mother. She was a Communicant of St. Luke’s Church, St. Mel’s Church in New York and St. Theresa’s in Little Egg Harbor. She enjoyed crafting, baking, cooking, traveling, wineries and being with her family. She was the best Nana, Mom, Aunt, Sister and Friend.

Frances was predeceased by her parents Giovanni and Calogera Cammalleri, husband Rosario Vella, son Calogero G. Vella and brothers Louis and Augustino Cammalleri.

She is survived by her living daughters Josephine Girsham and husband Ed of Absecon, NJ, Carole Terry and husband Douglas of Little Egg Harbor, NJ and Joanne Semprevivo and husband Andrew of Punta Gorda, FL, brother Rosario Cammalleri and grandchildren Matthew Terry, Giovanni Murray, Owen Terry, Ronnie Semprevivo, Vella Semprevivo, E.J. Girsham, Alexis Terry, Aiden Terry, Meg Gatier , great granddaughters Erika and Eleanor Gatier.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday September 6th, 2025 at St. Mel’s R. C. Church at 9:45am at 26-15 154th St. Flushing, NY 11354 followed by burial in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave. Flushing, NY 11354. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday September 8,2025 at 11am at St. Theresa’s Church, 450 Radio Rd, Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. In lieu of flowers you can donate in her name to St. Jude’s Hospital and EWTN.
