Harold H Holmes

Harold L. Holmes, 83, of Little Egg Harbor, formerly of Fairfield, passed away May 19, 2021. Born in Paterson, Mr. Holmes was raised on Hazel Street in Clifton. After marriage, he and his wife lived in Fairfield for 38 years before retiring to Little Egg Harbor 17 years ago. Before retirement, Mr. Holmes was a well-known and respected Landscape Architect Designer in the North Jersey area. Through the New Jersey Landscapers Association, Mr. Holmes won four Governor’s Trophies, the highest award, for landscape design.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly (nee Takach); his son, Todd Holmes and his wife, Veronique of Chester; his daughter, Barbra Yuhas of Little Falls; four grandchildren, Shannon and his wife Colleen, Jon, Alyson and Leonardo; and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Connor.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday July 17, 2021 from 1pm until a Memorial Service at 2:30pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
