Helen V Fernandez

Helen V. Fernandez (nee Booth) was born in Hackensack, NJ on November 27, 1932. She attended schools in Hackensack and graduated from High School in 1951. She also attended Modern Beauty College and graduated the same year. Helen worked as a beautician in Helen's Beauty Salon for her mother, Helen Booth, in Hackensack and Bogota.
She was married in 1954 to Frank R. Fernandez of Hackensack and they adopted two children, a daughter, Adele in 1962 and a son, Robert, in 1965. Adele passed away in 2008. Her son Bob is married and has three sons, Zack, Luke and Seth, with his wife, Mae.
Helen sang in the Choir of the First reformed Church of Hackensack, (The Old Church on the Green) where she was married. Her interest in music was a lifelong activity and she was also interested in ceramics and sewing.
