Helen McCollum

Helen O. McCollum, 98, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away on Wednesday July 23, 2025. Born in Monroe, NC, Helen spent time living in Beach Haven West NJ, Islamorada, FL, and Pennsauken, NJ, before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2019. Helen was a home maker who enjoyed fishing and boating.

Helen was predeceased by her parents William and Madge Presson, first husband John J. Mahoney and second husband Joseph A. McCollum. She was one of ten brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son John J. Mahoney D.O. and wife Nola of Shamong, NJ. Also surviving are her grandchildren Jason (Allyson), Ryan (Emily), and Tyler, and great grandchildren Isla, John Alexander, Bennett and Clair.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday September 6,2025 at 11am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Brant Beach, NJ.
