Jacob J Strassburger

Jacob J. Strassburger, 91, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Friday July 11, 2025. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Jacob spent time living in Colonia, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 1995. Jacob proudly served our nation in the US Navy aboard the USS Intrepid. He worked as an electrician for IBEW Local #164 in Jersey City, NJ, and later as a real estate salesman for Bayshore in Little Egg Harbor. He was a member of St. Theresa’s Church in Little Egg Harbor and was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed family vacations down the Shore, camping in Maine, rooting for the Mets and going to the casino.

Jacob was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Beatrice Strassburger.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Susan Strassburger, sons Jacob Strassburger and wife Janice of South Plainfield, NJ, David Strassburger of Little Egg Harbor, and Eric Strassburger and wife Sheila of Barnegat, NJ. Also surviving are his sister Carole McQuillan of Scottsdale, AZ, grandchildren Maxwell and Samuel, and many beloved nieces, nephews and sister-in-laws.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 16, 2025 from 4-8p at Maxwell Funeral Home, 160 Mathistown Rd, NJ, 08087. A funeral mass will be celebrated on July 17,2025 at 10a at St. Theresa’s Church, 450 Radio Rd, Little Egg Harbor, NJ, 08087. Burial to follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
