Jennie Scott

~~Jennie (Gervasio) Scott, 92, of Little Egg Harbor was called home to be with her Lord Wednesday August 23, 2017 at Seacrest Nursing Home surrounded by a loving and caring staff.  Jennie is survived by one brother, Joseph Gervasio, two daughters, Linda (Cartlidge) and Debra (Barrett), son-in-law Richard Barrett, two sons, Charles Dennis, his wife Michelle and Jeffrey, his wife Dawn, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Charles Wilford Scott, her parents Arnold and Catherine Gervasio, three sisters, Virginia (Fedorko), Lottie (Vitellaro), Marie (Tallone) and three brothers, Michael Gervasio, Anthony Gervasio and James Gervasio, M.D.  Jennie was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and valued friend to those she met along life's journey.  She was born to Arnold and Catherine Gervasio in Trenton, New Jersey in 1925.  Jennie served our nation in the United States Army as a Surgical Technician and worked as a Nurses Aid for 5 years for the Homecare Corporation in Florida. She always enjoyed caring for others and bringing a smile to their faces. 
Jennie lived in Lake Worth, Florida for over 20 years before moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ in 1998.  She attended Manahawkin Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family.
 
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday September 16, 2017 at Maxwell Funeral Home, 160 Mathistown Road, Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, 08087 from 10 am until 12 pm.  A Burial of Ashes will take place following the memorial service at St Mary's Cemetery in Manahawkin, NJ.
