Joan Clay, 97, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. Joan was born in South Wales, UK and lived there until 1951 when she moved to Levittown, PA after she married her husband, Frank. Joan spent many years living there and raising her 8 children before retiring and settling in Little Egg Harbor in 1977. Joan had a beautiful voice and belonged to the Sweet Adeline Choir back in the 80s. She also acted and sang in the Mystic Shores shows in the 90s. She enjoyed gardening and watching old movies. Joan had a terrific sense of humor. She loved boating, and all animals, especially her cats. She also loved to spend time with her family.
Joan was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Lillian Ashmore, husband Frances Clay, son Daniel Clay, daughter Joan Hardy, son-in-law Steve Hardy and grandson Steven F. Hardy, brothers Daniel and Jackie Ashmore, and sister-in-law Winnie Ashmore.
She is survived by her loving children Francis Clay, Teresa Packer and husband William, Michael Clay and girlfriend Clarisa, Patricia Azzara and husband Steve (Thomas), John Clay and wife Melissa and Thomas Clay and girlfriend Christine, grandchildren Traci, Kevin, Danielle, Jason, Craig, Keith, Alyssa, Thomas, Britney, John-Michael, Alicia-Dee, Benjamin, Nova and Frankie and great-grandchildren Kayla, Jaxon and Jayden.
Funeral Services for Joan will be held privately by the family.
