Joel A Douglas

Joel “Art” A. Douglas, 70 of Lakewood, NJ passed away at home on Tuesday November 25th, 2025. Art was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and spent many years living in Little Egg Harbor, NJ before moving to Lakewood 10 years ago. Art worked as a support specialist with disabled individuals and was a gifted musician. He was always a kind person who treated everyone he met with respect.

Art was predeceased by his parents Arturo and Lydia Douglas.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years Denise Douglas of Lakewood, NJ, his mother-in-law Evelyn Collins of Little Egg Harbor, NJ and his brother-in-law Gordon “Howie” Collins of Little Egg Harbor, NJ.

Cremation will be private.
