John W. LeVance III

John W. LeVance III, 49, passed away on September 23, 2023. Born in Toms River, NJ, John grew up in Tuckerton, NJ before settling in Atlantic City, NJ. John “Jay” “Duke” was a Commercial Fisherman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing poker, and watching sports. He was a big fan of the Washington Redskins, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Flyers, and Philadelphia 76ers. Jay enjoyed making others laugh, even in the most inopportune times. He spent most of his days on the clam boats in the ocean. When he was not busy on the boat, he spent his time finding ways to annoy his co-workers, which was often. Jay was a respected, dedicated, and loyal fisherman and he was happiest when he was out at sea.

John is predeceased by his mother Shirley Ann Driscoll, sister Lisa LeVance, and sister Doreen LeVance Zdon.

He is survived by his father John LeVance Jr., son John LeVance IV and partner Emily, grandson Parker John LeVance of Barnegat, NJ, daughters Alissa LeVance of Barnegat, NJ, Adriana LeVance of Florida, Avery LeVance of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, brother Kevin LeVance, brother-in-law Stanley Zdon Jr., nieces Rachel Zdon, Jenine Zdon, and Sagelyn LeVance, and nephew Stanley Zdon III.

Anyone that knew Jay personally would know that he would want the good times shared. With that being said, we, his family, invite anyone to share laughable memories during his memorial service.

Cremation will be private. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 7, 2023 from 11am-1pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor NJ 08087.
