Kyle Richard Gormley

Kyle Richard Gormley, 28 of New Gretna, N.J. passed away November 25th, 2021 as a result of a car accident. He was born in Galloway, NJ on March 8th, 1993 and was a Pinelands Regional High School Graduate in the class of 2011. He was employed by Verizon and worked as a lineman. He was the definition of a hometown boy.

Kyle is predeceased by his loving grandparents James and Helen Gormley, and Maureen Vanderslice. Kyle is survived by his parents John and Sandra Gormley; his sister Abby and her boyfriend Austin; his Grandfather “Dad Dad” John Vanderslice; his Uncle Tom and his girlfriend Ireene; his Uncle Ray and wife Dayna; his Uncle Jim and Aunt Joan; his Uncle John and Aunt Dee; his Uncle Kevin and Aunt Julie; his Aunt Ruth; his cousins TJ, Crystal and her husband Eric, Ryan, Oliver and Lucy, Brandon and Britney, Nolan and Carter; his “niece” Maya; his god daughter McKenna and his energetic black lab Mabel Jean.

Kyle will be remembered as the wanna-be tough guy, momma’s boy who had the biggest heart and loved everybody. Kyle had so much love in his heart that his list of Aunt and Uncle’s needs a page of its own. His list of cousins and close friends is unlike one you’ve ever seen. Kyle was genuinely loved by every person he called a friend and considered all of them family.

Kyle had a sense of humor like you wouldn’t believe. The things he did and said would make you laugh no matter what they were. If Kyle was in the room, everything instantly became better. He was always the center of attention, the jokester that we were all so incredibly lucky to have in our lives. His goofy, yet sincere smile and contagious laugh will be remembered and missed by every person who knew him. He was a one-of-a-kind person who only did things one way, Kyle’s way. He was the life of the party. He was fearless, yet sensitive and not afraid to show his true emotions. Kyle was real and too honest and outspoken at times, but that is one of many things we loved about him.

Although Kyle’s life ended before we were ready, the time he spent in our lives was memorable and full of laughter. His memory will be carried within us each and every day. We will be having a graveside service for friends and family at the Miller Cemetery on North Maple Avenue, New Gretna, NJ on Saturday, December 4th, 2021 at 11am. Please come as you are, warm hat, flannel shirt and blue jeans, just as Kyle would have wanted it.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, friend or take a walk in the woods for a moment, an hour or a day. Time waits for no one.
