Margot Calamaras

Margot A. Calamaras, 84, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away on June 21, 2023 after a long illness. Born in Trier, Germany, Margot spent over 30 years living in Venice, Florida before moving back to New Jersey 3 years ago to be closer to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Margot loved to travel, read, play slot machines at the casinos with her friends, shopping, and most of all, spending time with her family. Margot was an active member of the Venice German Club and Jacaranda Run Ladies Club. Margot and her husband, Nicholas, were also small business owners for over 20 years before Nicholas’ passing in 2008.

Margot is predeceased by her parents, Ludwig and Katharina Klein.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Orlando and her husband, John, of Mount Laurel, NJ, son David Sankey and his wife, Diana, of Seminole, Fl, son Stephen Sankey and his wife, Monica, of Palmyra, NJ, daughter Jeanine Watson and her husband, John, of Little Egg Harbor, Margot’s sisters, Inge and Hedi, extended family members in Germany, grandchildren Madelyn and her daughter Violet, Joshua and his wife Lauren, Alexandria and her husband Ryan, Samantha and fiance Justin, Alex and fiancee Brooke, Nicholas, and caregiver, Kim Johnson.

Visitation and Service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 1-3 p.m. at Maxwell Funeral Home at 160 Mathistown Road, Little Egg Harbor, NJ.
