Marianne Messerschmid

Marianne Messerschmid (nee Capriotti) 82 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022.  Born in Philadelphia, PA she lived in Springfield, PA before moving to Little Egg Harbor 22 years ago.  Marianne worked as a Medical Assistant for many years before becoming the Office Administrator for Pennsylvania House of Representative’s for 8 years.  She volunteered at the Tuckerton Seaport and supported many local charities.  Marianne enjoyed music, dancing, playing the slots, going on cruises and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. 

Marianne was predeceased by her parents Louis and Jennie Capriotti.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years David Messerschmid, loving daughters Joanne Fasy and husband Paul and Linda Janney and husband Brian, grandchildren: Christopher, Michael, Nicky, Stephanie, Maxwell and Lauren and great grandchildren Scarlett, Wallis and Emilia.  Also, her sister Louanne Harding.

Viewing will be held on Sunday October 2, 2022 from 4 to 6pm and Monday October 3 from 8:00 to 9:30am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday October 3, 2022 at 10am at St. Theresa’s R.C. Church 450 Radio Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087 followed by burial at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
