Maureen B. McGuire

Maureen Bridget McGuire,84, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 4, 2026.

Born in the Bronx, NY, Maureen spent time living in Parlin, NJ and Scranton, PA before settling in Little Egg harbor in 2018. She worked as a clerk for Royal Dalton in Bridgewater NJ, where she was known for her friendly nature and warm personality.

Maureen had a gift for making friends wherever she went. Whether she was relaxing at the lake, traveling to new places, or simply out enjoying life. She had a way of connecting with people that made everyone feel welcome. Her infectious smile, kind heart, and uplifting spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She loved music, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. A devoted Yankee fan, Maureen rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her team and enjoyed attending games and sneaking into Yankee Player parties.

To know Maureen was to know someone who could brighten a room with her laughter, strike up a conversation with anyone and make strangers feel like lifelong friends. Maureen took people and animals in need into her home without question, always helping where she could. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her warmth, laughter, and love for life will continue to live on in the memories she created with family and friends.

Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Bridget O’Reilly, her beloved husband, Richard Thomas McGuire, and her daughters Doreen McGuire and Denise Black. She is survived by her loving daughters Maureen Helfer and husband Martin of Ocean View, DE and Barbara Mitchell and husband Billy of Little Egg harbor, NJ, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Cremation will be private and a Funeral Mass and Interment of ashes will take place at a later time.
