Mildred M Anoia

Mildred M. Anoia 92 of Tuckerton, NJ passed away on Wednesday October 9, 2019.  Born in Shamokin, PA she lived in Iselin, NJ, East Brunswick, NJ and Waretown, NJ before moving to Tuckerton 20 years ago.  She was a previous communicant of St. Cecilia’s R.C. Church in Iselin.

Mildred worked as a bookkeeper for Shop Rite Supermarkets for many years; was Coordinator for an organization called “Green Thumb,” where she helped seniors find employment. She also worked for a CPA and eventually as an aid at Pinelands Regional Media Center.  Millie was an industrious woman with a hard work ethic who lived life with intention and purpose. Among her many attributes, talents and interests, devotion to her family and compassion for the needs of others best define her character. She’ll no doubt be remembered for her energetic spirit, bringing joy and inspiration to all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Anoia in 1992 and brother John Shapinski.

She is survived by her loving daughters Nancy Ferro and husband Sid of Barnegat and Deborah Jencsik and husband Thomas of Beachwood, NJ, sisters Helen Schem of California and Genevieve Fragoso of Old Bridge, NJ, grandchildren Ryan and wife Lindsay, Jesse and wife Eleonora and Lexie and husband Rus and great grandchildren Cataleia, Slade, Parker, Lilly and Tori.

Mildred will be laid to rest with her husband Arthur at a private graveside service at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
