Nancy Mathis

Nancy Mathis, 88 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ Passed away on November 28, 2022. Born in Maywood, NJ, Nancy spent time in Englishtown, NJ before becoming one of the first residents of Mystic Island in 1964. Nancy volunteered at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Nancy was also the president of the Lady’s Aide Society for 20+ years, a member of the Coast Guard Auxillary for 51 years, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 70 years. Nancy was also a model with Berkeley in New York City, NY.  

Nancy is predeceased by her husband Horace Mathis, daughter Cheryl Jean Dazell, parents Ritzie and Paula Boffey, sister Joan Boffey, and granddaughter Sara Sheryl Lopez. 

She is survived by her daughter Nanette J. Licata and husband John of Red Bank, NJ, son James H. Mathis Sr. and wife Jessie of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, grandson Michael Lopez and wife Melissa, grandson James H. Mathis Jr., granddaughter Angela Patnaude, great granddaughter Harley Lopez, and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends and grand doggie Snow. 

Visitation will be held Sunday December 4, 2022 from 2-4pm and again from 7-9pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A funeral service will be held on Monday December 5, 2022 from 10-11am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 500 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will follow at Tuckerton Greenwood Cemetery N Green Street Tuckerton, NJ 08087. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
