Paul A Robertshaw

Paul Anthony Robertshaw, (81), of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home, on March 18, 2023.

Paul was born on September 4, 1941, to Ruth and Paul Robertshaw in Long Beach, California. After graduating from Scarborough Country Day School in 1959, he joined the Army.

While stationed in Berlin, Germany as an ESP1 Postal clerk, Paul met his first wife, Marianne. That union produced two wonderful daughters.

Following his duty in Berlin, Paul moved the family to New York, where he became a salesman. He had a stint in insurance, and later sold microfiche at Bell and Howell, where he made the biggest sale in the history of the company, via a contract with Yale.

Paul married his sweetheart, Susan Holodak, on March 15, 1992. They had a marriage full of love and laughter, and they adored each other.

Paul was a gifted musician, and enjoyed lacrosse, basketball, tennis, golf, and was a lacrosse referee for many years. He loved the New York Giants, the New York Yankees, and above all, his family. He was a kind-hearted and gentle soul, and was gregarious, charming, funny, and intelligent.

After suffering a stroke in 2011, Paul met some challenges, with visits in and out of the hospital, but Susan took amazing care of him with the help of his brother Alex. Throughout his journey, Paul never lost his sense of humor. He loved to crack jokes with his family, and he had a great ability to make others smile. His sense of humor and his smile will be sorely missed. Paul always took the time to tell his family how proud he was and how much he loved them.

Paul is survived by his wife Susan, his former wife Marianne, and their daughters Michelle (Craig), Susan, and his stepson Jason. He is also survived by his brother Stuart (Charlene), stepbrothers, Alex and Bruce (Betsy), and brother-in-law Tom (Jeanette), and four grandchildren. Paul was predeceased by his parents Ruth and Paul, and stepfather Russell.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 1pm-4pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.

Paul’s family will host a funeral service on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 11am at St Theresa's Church 450 Radio Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
