Raymond Maxwell

Raymond Richard Maxwell, 61 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Wednesday, August 2nd , 2023. Raymond Sr. was a strong man, born in Somers Point, NJ and spent time living in Trexlertown, PA, Piscataway, NJ and Smithville, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2002. He received many awards while proudly serving our nation as a United States Marine in 1981 and was a graduate of Oakcrest High School, Class of 1979. For many years, Raymond worked as a head manager for the Comfort Inn Hotel & Suites in Absecon, NJ. Most recently, he humbly held the title of Security Supervisor for Caesars Entertainment in Atlantic City, NJ for 11 years. He enjoyed his blues and greens outdoors, camping, hiking, bike rides, going to museums, driving backroads, a fresh pizza and beer, trying new things, and spending time with his dear family. He also used to coach recreational basketball and loved playing and watching baseball.

Raymond was predeceased by his parents Pratt and Betty Maxwell, his brother Doug Maxwell, and his granddaughter Jaida.

He is survived by his loving daughters Jessica N. Maxwell of Ocean Twp., NJ and Trisha L. Maxwell of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ, son Raymond R. Maxwell Jr. of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ, sister Patricia Cooper, grandchildren Jayden and Kadiana Ortiz, fiancé Diana Campisi, half-sister Sharon Morris, and mother of his youngest daughter, Ana M. Sanchez.

Visitation will be held on Saturday August 12th , 2023 from 10am-1:30pm at Maxwell Funeral Home – 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will follow in the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor, NJ. In honor of his favorite color, feel free to wear your best blue.
