Samuel W Leifried Jr.

Samuel W. Leifried Jr., 87 of Tuckerton, NJ passed away on Saturday June 27, 2026. Born in Pinewald, NJ he was a lifetime Tuckerton resident. Sam proudly served his country in the US Airforce from 1955 to 1959 and worked as an electronic technician. He was a member of the Tuckerton Masonic Lodge #4 and the Tuckerton Historical Society and was a volunteer on the Tuckerton First Aid Squad. He authored 3 books and even had a street named after him. Samuel was a baymen, trapper, hunter, picker, fisherman and avid outdoorsman.

Samuel was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Estella Leifried, beloved wife Linda Leifried and son Samuel Leifried III.

He is survived by his loving daughters Tammy Lee Patterson of Cape May, NJ and Terri Lynn Maresca and husband Ronald of Barnegat, NJ, grandchildren Noah N. Leifried-Patterson and wife Lynsie, Ronald W. Maresca Jr. and wife Christie, Samuel A. Maresca and wife Alicia, Matthew J. Leifried-Patterson and wife Joni, and Tara L. Schoeneberg and husband Malcom, great-grandchildren Ronnie, Andrea, Peyton, Matthew, Langston, Ayden, Vivian, John, Zella, Magnus, Kinslee, and Bohdan and niece Danielle.

Viewing hours will be held on Thursday July 2, 2026 form 1-3pm and 5-7pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ.
