Vera E Heydorn

Vera Elaine “Lonnie” Heydorn, 82 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at Seacrest Nursing Home on Monday September 15, 2025. Vera was born in Orange, NJ and lived most of her life in Livingston, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2008. Vera was a member of the knitting club at the local library. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and spending time with the knitting club ladies and her lifelong friend Barbara VanArsdale. She also very much enjoyed being with her loving family.

Vera was predeceased by her parents William and Vera Fox, sister-in-law Trudy Fox, son-in-law Barry McGrotty and her beloved grandson Cormac.

She is survived by her loving daughters Sheryl McGrotty of Little Egg Harbor, NJ and Judith Brain and husband Keith of Stow, ME, brother William Fox of Williamsburg, VA, and her grandchildren Christopher, Kaitlin, Ian and Tamara.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday September 19th, 2025 from 2-4pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
