William R "Bill" Cummings

William R. ""Bill"" Cummings, 68 of West Creek, NJ passed away on Wednesday March 25, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bayville, NJ, Bill was a lifetime Parkertown and West Creek resident. He was a US Navy Veteran serving from 1963 to 1969. Bill was an extremely hard worker who was known as a great bayman and clammer and a skilled craftsman and builder. He was the owner of William Cummings Custom Builders and was a very active member of the Pines Club. Bill was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, camping and vacationing in North Carolina. Bill is most remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Wilma Cummings and beloved wife Elizabeth Cummings.
He is survived by his loving children, daughter Christine Cummings of Parkertown,son William R. Cummings Jr. and wife Marcel of Parkertown, brother Daniel C. Cummings and wife Nanette of Parkertown, sisters Susan Gissubel and husband Fred of Parkertown, Annette Drago and husband Andrew of Tuckerton and Sherry Cummings and fiance Fred Cramer of Little Egg Harbor, grandchildren Erin, Bobby, Jackie, Alexis and Mikey, his loving companion Karen Belk and her children Tiffany, Jimmy, Lauren, and Eric.
Viewing hours will be held on Monday March 30, 2015 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 9pm and Tuesday March 31 from 10am until the Funeral Service at 11am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will follow at West Creek Cemetery.
