William P "Bill" Sulzmann

William P. Sulzmann, 73, of Parkertown, NJ died on September 7th at University of Pennsylvania Hospital.
Born in Jersey City, he moved to South River, Monroe Township, Old Bridge Township, Point Pleasant Beach, and settled in the West Creek area in 1985.
Mr. Sulzmann was employed by Concurrent Computer Corporation, Oceanport, NJ for 19 years, his position held was North American Training Coordinator. He retired from the United States Naval Reserve with 26 years of service as a Chief Boatswain Mate. He served as the Command Chief for the Mobil Inshore Undersea Warfare Unit (MIUW-504). Mr. Sulzmann served as a Special Police Officer for eight years for the Madison Township (Old Bridge) Police Department.
He was a former member of the VFW #316, American Legion Post #493, 4th degree Knight of Columbus, past president Holy Name Society, member Naval Enlisted Reserve Association, past president Gator Alumni Association, and served as a member of the Zoning Board, Point Pleasant Beach.
Surviving is his wife Elly (Viedt) Sulzmann, two daughters, Kimberly Moran (Michael) of North Beach and Amanda Wilbert of Manahawkin, two sons, William Arthur (Jenifer) of West Creek and Robert of San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and his sister Joann Bergen (Robert) of Manahawkin.
Deacon Bill was a member of St. Theresa's Church in which he served as a Deacon for the parish for 17 years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday September 12th at 11:00am at St. Theresa's Church, 450 Radio Road, Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Manahawkin, NJ. Visitation will be held on Sunday September 11th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm also at St. Theresa's Church.
In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Theresa's Building Fund, or to the University of Penn Heart Failure Unit would be appreciated.
