Claire McDowell

Claire A. McDowell, 77 of New Gretna, NJ passed away at home on Saturday October 9th, 2021. Claire was born in Newark, NJ and spent time living in Beachwood, NJ before she and her husband built their house and moved to New Gretna in 1999. Claire graduated from Clifford J. Scott High School and worked as a Librarian for the Ocean County Library System for many years. She enjoyed art, watching Lifetime movies, cats, and Broadway. She also was an avid Elvis fan.

Claire was predeceased by her parents Fred and Louise Longinetti, her sister MaryLou Smith and her granddaughter Mikeylah Infinity-Louise Shabazz.

She is survived by her husband Thomas of 51 years and her daughter Amy McDowell of New Gretna, NJ.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday October 16th, 2021 from 12-1pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087 followed by burial in Miller Cemetery, New Gretna, NJ.
