Gianna Nicole Palmieri

Gianna Nicole Palmieri, 16, of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.

Gianna was a student at Pinelands High School, where she enjoyed spending time with her friends and teachers.  She was an honor student who was looking forward to her induction into the National Honor Society.  She enjoyed participating in school clubs and activities such as Interact and Wildcats in Action.  She enjoyed supporting the wrestling team; she was the Wrestling Manager for four years and was looking forward to this year’s season.  Her love for dancing with the Spotlight Competition Team led to her dancing in the school musicals.

Gianna loved music.  She played piano and sang along to every song on the radio, regardless of its genre.  She enjoyed sewing and organizing her closet.  It could never be too organized for Gianna.  She loved to travel and planned on seeing the world.  A true animal lover, she cared for them all.  Most of all, she was a daddy’s girl who just loved spending time with her brother, Gerard.

Gianna was kind and compassionate, always putting others before herself.  She saw the beauty in everything and everybody.  Her gentle soul will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. 

Gianna is survived by her parents, Barbara and Gerard Palmieri, and her brother Gerard, of Little Egg Harbor.  She is also survived by her maternal grandparents Barbara and Louis Ogno, also of Little Egg Harbor.  In addition, she leaves behind numerous aunts and uncles, Sharon Pisano, Louis (Sheila) Ogno, Derek (Jen) Palmieri and Frank (Lisa) Palmieri.  She leaves behind siblings Marissa (Mike) Rios, Angela Palmieri and Anthony Palmieri, all of Staten Island, New York.  Also left behind are numerous cousins, two nieces, a nephew and so many loving friends.

Mommy will be missing you, my best friend, everyday…until we meet again, my love.  XOXO

Visitation will be held on Sunday February 14th, 2021 from 2-6pm and on Tuesday February 16th from 9:30-10:30am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday February 16th, 2021 at 11am at St. Theresa's Church 450 Radio Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Please note, due to COVID-19 the funeral home is operating at limited capacity as per NJ executive order. Staff will be there to assist. All visitors must wear a face mask over their mouth and nose inside the funeral home and church at all times.
