Joan Caswell

Joan Caswell, 90, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Monday October 4, 2021. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Joan spent time living in Middletown and Manahawkin before moving to Little Egg Harbor 20 years ago. Joan worked in Human Resources for Fort Monmouth and retired in 1988. She loved traveling, reading, crossword puzzles, late night cups of tea, going to Atlantic City, and playing Mahjong. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with family. She was very close to so many family members and friends, especially the “cousins” that she grew up with…inseparable to the end. The matriarch, so full of wisdom and stories, always there to lend an ear, that’s our Joan.

Joan was predeceased by her parents Edith (Caruso) and Thomas Jannaco, her husband Jacquie Caswell, and sister Pamela Janneco.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Laurie (Edward) Lewicki of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, step-sons Mark (Ruth) and Matthew (Linda) Caswell, brothers Louis (Patti) Lombardi of Farmingdale, NJ and John Jannaco (Rosanne Lorenzo) of Queens, NY, sister Patricia Jannaco (James O’Reilly) of Morristown, NJ, grandchildren Kristen (Dennis) Bransky, Stephanie Lewicki (Brian Robison), Christopher (Kate) Lewicki, Jamie (Jason) Skoronski, Joshua (Jennifer) Caswell, Steven (Mary) Caswell, and Jason (Lisa) Caswell, great-grandson Payton Robison, great niece Lisa (Craig) Weinstock, and great nephews Daniel and Nicholas Lombardi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 6, 2021 from 12pm until her Funeral Service at 2pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor NJ 08087. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Tuckerton, NJ.
