Obituary

Joseph John Mancino passed away on Sunday, April 19th 2020.  He was Born on August 9, 1944 to Jeanette (Saporito) Mancino and Benedict Mancino In Brooklyn, NY.  He grew up in Brooklyn and Queens NY, before moving to Staten Island, NY, Old Bridge, NJ, Manalapan, NJ and ultimately Little Egg Harbor, NJ, where he lived and is survived by his loving and adored wife Diane.   Joseph was predeceased by his wife of 29 years, Carole (Paradise) Mancino (1948-1999), and his brother Peter (1943-2019) and his parents.  Joseph is also survived by his loving children and their spouses, Joseph and Jenna Mancino, Vanessa (Mancino) and Christopher Ward, Amy (Hazy) and Christopher Esposito, Robert Hazy, and Deanna Fattoruso.   He is also survived by the pure joys of his life, his grandchildren, Alex and Stacy Mancino, Kailey, Ryan, and Brady Ward, Emily and Ashley Esposito, and Matthew and Tristan Hazy.   Joseph is also survived by his loving sister, Mary Dabrowski, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joseph began his career after graduating from St. John’s University as a sugar trader, then becoming a commodities broker, and ultimately a Wall Street Executive at several different firms.  Joseph also served our nation in the United States Coast Guard for many years. In his retirement, he successfully ran a travel agency, before completely retiring and enjoying every moment life had to offer.

Joe was an avid fisherman, both in fresh and saltwater.  He was an outdoorsman, traveler, a person who loved to “play” in the kitchen, a very active member in his church community, but most importantly, he was a family man.  Everything Joe lived for was for his family.  He never took life for granted, was the person that was always willing to lend a hand, or an ear, give advice, and help in any way he could.  He was very strong, and fought very hard until his untimely passing.  He was a loved and well respected man, husband, dad, grandfather, and friend, and will be missed sorely by all that knew and loved him.

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, a Memorial Service will be held at his Church at a later date. Please check back for a service update.
